Manning’s operates an extensive Safety Management System which ensures that Health and Safety is given top priority during all construction activities. The Principal Elements of the Safety Management System comprise the following:

Mannings endeavours to work closely with our Clients from an early stage in the Design Process resulting in a smoother operation and a more efficient and safe completion. Manning’s operate an A rated Safe T Cert, Safety Management System audited annually by the Construction Industry Federation. In January 2004, Manning’s obtained the Det Norske Veritas award (DNV) for achievement in the International Contractor Safety Rating System and have undergone annual audits since then.

Manning’s is invariably appointed as the Project Manager for the Construction Stage of our contracts in accordance with the provisions of the Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations, 2013. Following receipt of the Preliminary Health and Safety Plan from the Project Supervisor for the Design Stage, our Health and Safety Manager prepares the Health and Safety Plan for the Construction Stage which is developed throughout the duration of the contract.

Mannings has never received a Prohibition Notice following a site visit by a HSA inspector.

Mannings has gained a wealth of experience in how to plan for and deal with the various Health and Safety issues that arise during the construction of supermarkets, warehousing, distribution centres and petrol filling stations. Some of these projects involved working in premises where normal trading activities continued and so it was necessary to put in place very particular additional measures to ensure the safety of staff and members of the public.
