Tesco Ballymun Distribution Centre

Mannings were main contractor on Tesco’s 21,000 sq.m composite distribution centre in Ballymun, Dublin 11, for storage and distribution of chilled foods, building temperature ambient +12 degrees and chilled ‐25.  The contract included all site development work, vehicle maintenance facility and truck wash facility. 

The warehouse was constructed as insulated envelope with the outer skin of the building providing both the insulating properties of a coldroom and the weathering properties of a traditionally‐cladded building (previously, such large scale chilled facilities constructed as a coldroom within a weathered exterior).
